A family in Cross River State has accused a Lagos-based cleric, Pastor Peter Chinwagba, of involvement in the killing of their son, Princewill, a youth pastor with a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ikom local government area of the state, who was shot dead in September 2023, months before his wedding. Mr Ernest Onyeka, who recently appeared on Lucky Udu experience, said the victim’s car, a Lexus RX 350, was later traced to Lagos, where police arrested a mechanic who revealed it had been handed to him by the pastor for repainting.

During investigations, the pastor allegedly admitted being in Ikom, Cross River, on the day of the killing and confessed that one Elvis Ntwi shot the victim in his presence. However, despite what the family described as overwhelming evidence—including bullets recovered from the victim’s head—the case was dismissed in court, reportedly on health grounds, leaving the suspects free.

Two years after the incident, the family says justice has remained elusive, with their mother’s health deteriorating due to the prolonged struggle. They are now appealing to Nigerians, human rights advocates, and legal experts to intervene and ensure accountability in the matter.
