A Non-Governmental Organization, Feed a Hungry Child with Briana Foundation (FAHCWB), in collaboration with an international organization, Faithful Friends Foundation (F3), on February 11, 2025, cleared the tuition fees of one hundred and six (106) pupils in Community Primary School, Bebuagbong, Obudu, Cross River State.

The foundation, founded by Briana Akpagu, an Abuja-based Cross River-born Lawyer, also rehabilitated a community borehole located in the school as well as sensitize the pupils on their rights as Nigerian citizens.

Speaking, Akpagu who thanked F3 and other donors for their support said that she is very excited about the opportunity to put smiles on the faces of parents and the pupils by clearing the school fees of the kids.

According to her, “I would like to extend my team’s gratitude to our silver sponsors; Frankbond Investment, Sen Asuquo Ekpenyong, and Silvermaris Hotels, Obudu, for their support. We also thank the public for their encouragement, kindness, and prayers.

The Feed a Hungry Child with Briana Foundation (FAHCWB) remains dedicated to our mission of drastically reducing the effects of poverty, malnutrition, and social injustice on children across Nigeria.”

Reacting, the Head Mistress of the School, Mrs Juliana Ador said that the entire school was overwhelmed with joy over the gesture and prayed to God to reward everyone involved in the foundation.

She noted “I’m looking for the right words in appreciation. This is unprecedented. With the economic hardship in this country, relieving parents of the burden of paying fees for their wards this term is a great gesture.

“I also want to thank Briana and her team for refurbishing our borehole which has been faulty for a long time. This borehole does not feed only the school but the entire community. This explains why you can see so many Chiefs and community leaders who have come to say thank you”.

Adie Felix Lipehunim, a pupil who spoke on behalf of others said “I want to thank you and your foundation for paying our school fees. We promised to read our books and be of good conduct so that when we grow up, we’ll also have the opportunity to help people like this”.
