As a result, the Certificates of National Service issued to these 101 individuals have been officially invalidated by the NYSC.

By TheInvestigator

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the invalidation of Certificates of National Service for ninety-nine (99) individuals and two (2) others on exemption, who were allegedly fraudulently mobilized by the University of Calabar (UNICAL) during the 2021, 2022, and 2023 service years.

In a statement released by the NYSC management, it was highlighted that the individuals in question were mobilized for national service despite being unqualified.

The statement emphasizes the organization’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the NYSC program, noting that only graduates from accredited institutions are eligible for NYSC service and the corresponding certificates.

As a result, the Certificates of National Service issued to these 101 individuals have been officially invalidated by the NYSC.

The management has urged the public, particularly employers, government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), as well as corporate, religious, and multinational organizations, to take immediate note of this development and take appropriate actions where necessary.

Additionally, the public is advised to verify the authenticity of any NYSC Certificates of National Service, Exemption, or Exclusion Letters from the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja before accepting them for any purpose.
