To enhance student welfare and ensure convenience during the ongoing examination period, the University of Calabar (UNICAL) Students Union Government (SUG) administration has launched a new initiative offering a free shuttle ride service for all students.

This service will be available from Monday, August 11th to Friday, August 18th. It will operate from the university’s main gate to key academic areas, including the E-Library and the Education Block.

The service aims to make it easier for students to reach their examination venues without the stress of finding transportation. The buses will run daily from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, aligning with the peak hours for student movements.

In a statement, the SUG president, Blessing Alims Iripia wished all students success in their exams and expressed hope that this service would contribute positively to their exam preparation and performance.

“We are committed to supporting our students in every way possible. This free shuttle service is just one of the many ways we are working to make their lives easier, especially during such a critical time,” her statement reads in part.
