Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals to the authorities.

In light of the upcoming protest against “Bad Government,” the Cross River State Police Command has released an advisory urging residents to maintain peace and order. The statement, signed by Police Public Relations Officer SP Ugbo Irene on behalf of Commissioner of Police Oyogon A. Grimah, extends heartfelt thanks to the citizens, traditional and religious leaders, and various security agencies for their ongoing cooperation.

Known for its peaceful nature, Cross River State, often referred to as “Paradise” or “Canaan City,” is encouraged to uphold its legacy of tranquillity. The Police Command specifically advises parents and guardians to guide their children towards positive activities that support the state’s development.

Reflecting on the 2020 “#EndSARS” protests, which led to significant loss of life and property damage, the police underscore the importance of conducting protests responsibly.

Commissioner Grimah reassures the public that extensive measures are in place to prevent any violent disruptions.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals to the authorities. In case of emergencies, the public can contact the helplines at 08133568456 or 07053355414.
