The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Dr Umo Bassey Eno has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect. This decision was announced in a press release issued yesterday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah.
According to the release, all Commissioners and Special Advisers are directed to hand over to their respective Permanent Secretaries. In ministries without Permanent Secretaries, the most senior director is to assume the role temporarily.
Governor Umo Eno expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing Executive Council members for their dedicated service and contributions to the state’s development. He wished them success in their future endeavours.
This development signals a significant restructuring within the state government, as the Governor prepares for the next phase of his administration.
