Three commissioners spoke in support of re-electing Tinubu and Otu in 2027.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Cross River State Governor Bassey Edet Otu have received an endorsement for a second term in office from the state’s College of Commissioners.
The College of Commissioners convened at the Ministry of Women Affairs conference hall on Monday evening. The Commissioner of Health, Dr Agam Ayuk, presided over the meeting.
The motion for endorsement was moved by the Commissioner for Transportation, Pastor Ekpenyong Cobham, and seconded by the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. Justin Beshel.

Mrs Lawrencia Ita, Commissioner for Establishments, Training, and Pensions, stated, “He has done a lot in my Ministry. Cross River State undoubtedly deserves to give Governor Otu a second term.”
Mrs Edema Irom, Commissioner for Women Affairs, praised the governor, saying, “He prioritises gender issues. He has supported over 10,000 women and is well-suited for 2027.”
Sen Stephen Odey, Commissioner for Education, thanked the governor for constructing roads in Yala where none previously existed. “He has done well in terms of school infrastructure; he is a man with foresight,” he added.
