Cross River Government Establishes Directorate Of Programmes And Projects To Enhance Student Orientation

The decision follows extensive consultations, underscoring the administration’s commitment to improving student affairs and engagement.

The Government of Cross River State, through the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Orientation, has instituted a new Directorate of Programmes and Projects aimed at enhancing the general orientation of students across the state.

In an official statement signed by Anthony Afufu Ogar, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Orientation, the office has announced the formation of a committee tasked with this initiative. 

The decision follows extensive consultations, underscoring the administration’s commitment to improving student affairs and engagement.

The newly appointed committee members are:

– Chairman: Comr. Ugah, James Ugah

– Comr. Alims, Blessing Iripia

– Comr. Agnes Chiaidi

– Comr. Odey, Joseph Ogbaji

– Comr. Christopher Ojikpong

– Comr. Racheal Bassey

– Comr. Angela Odey

– Comr. Ferdinand Oko

– Comr. Jesam Omini

– Comr. Oko-Iwara Emmanuel Micheal, NANS JCC-CRS Chairman

– Comr. James Lukpata

– Comr. Igbeng Emmanuel

– Comr. Victor Asuquo

– Comr. Obo Etem

– Comr. Alfred Efa Effiong

– Comr. Idiku Benjamin Odey

– Comr. Briggs Tomipiriya

– Comr. John Abua

– Comr. Otufo Jeremiah Ikweng

– Comr. Ferdinand Oko

– Hon. Otufo, Anthony Ogar, SA Students’ Orientation

– Hon. Abasi Afioh Akpabio, SA Students’ Advocacy

– Hon. Enyam Kelvin, SA Students’ Affairs

– Secretary: Comr. Ekwunife, Blessing Uche

The committee is entrusted with the responsibility of formulating, developing, and implementing programs and social projects targeted at improving the overall student experience and orientation within Cross River State. This initiative is expected to foster a more conducive learning environment and promote student welfare and development.

The announcement concluded with a message of gratitude and optimism for the future from Hon. Anthony Afufu Ogar. The office encourages all stakeholders to support the committee in their mission to enhance student orientation and engagement in Cross River State.
