Former Chairman of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel (SPIP),  Chief Okoi Obono-Obla has urged public officers, especially the embattled ones to publish their assets declaration form.

Chief Okoi shared his opinion on his Facebook timeline.

His post “I was once accused of corruption and owning a private aircraft, which they alleged I  bought with public money.

“I then published my assets declaration form I filled in 2016 when I was appointed into government.

“I also published my assets declaration form I filed when my appointment ended in May 2019.

“I listed all my money accounts, my properties, etc, and made them public because I knew that I had not touched a kobo of public money.”

He revealed that he was not bothered about some of the accusations against him because he knew they were false.

“But since I know that it was untrue, I was unbothered.

“I enjoined all public officers, especially those accused of corruption, to voluntarily publish their assets declaration form filled with the Code of Conduct Bureau.”
