The City Boy Movement in Cross River State will begin a statewide tour on October 27, 2026, to inaugurate local government offices and registration centres as part of efforts to expand its grassroots presence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The tour will begin in the Northern Senatorial District, covering Obudu, Bekwarra and Obanliku on October 27, before moving to Ogoja and Yala on October 28.
The movement will proceed to the Central Senatorial District on October 29, visiting Ikom, Boki and Etung, while Obubra, Yakurr and Abi will be covered on October 30.
The exercise will also involve membership mobilisation and registration, alongside engagements to promote the policies and reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Administration and Governor Bassey Otu’s People First agenda.
In a statement announcing the tour, the movement’s State Director of Media, Comrade Inyali Peter, Ph.D., said the initiative was aimed at strengthening the organisation’s structure and familiarising residents with the programmes and priorities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates ahead of the 2027 polls.
The movement called on its members, supporters and interested residents in the affected local government areas to participate in the exercise and register at the designated centres.
