More than 50 members of different cult groups have renounced cultism in Abini community, Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The renunciation took place on Wednesday during an initiative aimed at promoting peace and curbing cult-related activities in the community.

The Clan Head of Abini subsequently placed a ban on cultism, warning that anyone who returns to cult activities would face traditional sanctions.

Boki Blog reports that the initiative was powered by the Abini Uniform Men and Women Association, popularly known as Abini Elite, in partnership with Laurahope Care and Rescue Foundation.
