The Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON) has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, while endorsing the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across the state.

The Director-General of CRISPON, Prince Michael Nku Abuo, made the pledge on Friday at the take-off point of the network’s endorsement rally in Ogoja, shortly before supporters marched from Ajegunle Junction to the Ogoja Township Stadium.

Abuo said the group’s commitment was informed by what he described as the achievements of the Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu administrations, particularly in northern Cross River. “We pledge 1.5 million votes,” he declared, urging supporters to mobilise across communities and wards ahead of the 2027 elections.

He also highlighted the establishment of the Government House in Ogoja, describing it as a historic development aimed at bringing government closer to the people. According to him, Governor Otu has demonstrated political inclusion by appointing young people across the state’s 196 wards into government. “For the first time in the history of Northern Cross River and Cross River State, Government House has been built in Ogoja to bring the government closer to the people,” he said.

The CRISPON DG further commended the governor for lifting the ban on employment and approving 5,000 jobs, describing the move as another indication of the administration’s commitment to empowering Cross Riverians.

Abuo also publicly expressed gratitude to Governor Otu for retaining his deputy, Dr Peter Odey, as his running mate for the next election. He knelt before the governor in appreciation, as the crowd cheered.

CRISPON’s endorsement rally brought together hundreds of supporters from across the state, with the network declaring its support for President Tinubu, Governor Otu, Deputy Governor Odey and other APC candidates featured in its endorsement campaign.
