FilmCity, Braideye Productions To Hold Free Training On Lighting Techniques For Videographers

In a move aimed at enhancing the skills of filmmakers, videographers, and content creators in Cross River State, FilmCity, in collaboration with Braideye Productions, has announced a free training programme on lighting techniques for videography and content creation.

The training, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, will take place at Braideye Productions, located at No. 3 Ediba Road, Calabar, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

According to the organisers, the workshop is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and professional skills in the use of lighting to improve visual storytelling and content quality.

The session will feature Ambassador Starro Eno, Governor of FilmCity, who is expected to lead participants through various aspects of lighting in film and content production.

Topics to be covered include understanding light beyond Kelvin measurements, professional lighting setups, lighting for mood and storytelling, as well as creative and advanced lighting techniques.

The training is part of ongoing efforts to build the capacity of young creatives and support the growth of the creative industry in Calabar and beyond.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, although seats are limited. Interested participants have been encouraged to register early to secure a place.
