The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Mainland Business School, Anyanganse, in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State has announced plans to host its maiden First Epoch Cultural Event alongside the official launch of the Students’ Union Government Almanac.

The event, scheduled for December 3, 2025, will take place on the school campus and is expected to bring together students, cultural groups, invited guests, and members of the public in a colourful celebration of heritage.

According to the organisers, the cultural festival is designed to promote unity, showcase indigenous traditions, and strengthen the identity of the institution.

In a statement signed by the SUG President, Comr John Francis, and the Director of Socials, Comr Miquel Asuquo, the union described the event as “a milestone in preserving culture and fostering community spirit within the institution.” They noted that the almanac launch would also highlight the activities, achievements, and vision of the current administration.

The programme will feature cultural displays, traditional music and dance, exhibitions, and other heritage-themed activities. The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and is open to students, staff, alumni, and the wider public.

Residents of Akpabuyo and neighbouring communities have been encouraged to attend and support what the organisers describe as a landmark cultural celebration for the school.
