Former Cross River Commissioner, Elizabeth Agbo Adede, Passes At 69

Senator Musa Adede, on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude to well-wishers for their support and prayers.

The family of Baba Michael Akawu Adede of Akorshi Bendi 1, Obanliku Local Government Area, Cross River State, has announced the passing of Hon. Elizabeth Agbo Adede, a former retired Permanent Secretary and Commissioner. She was 69 years old.  

Hon. Adede, who dedicated years of service to the state, will be laid to rest following a series of burial ceremonies scheduled between March 19 and March 22, 2025.  

According to the funeral arrangements released by her family, a night of tribute will take place on Wednesday, March 19, at Event 45, No. 6 Douglas Avenue, Off Atakong Drive, State Housing, Calabar, at 6:00 PM.  

On Thursday, March 20, a farewell mass will be held at Christ the King Church, Akim Qua Town, Calabar, at 8:00 AM. This will be followed by a Valedictory Session at the State Executive Council Temporary Chambers, State of Chiefs Chambers, at 11:00 AM.  

On Friday, March 21, a vigil mass will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, Akorshi Bendi, Obanliku LGA, at 5:00 PM. The final rites will be conducted on Saturday, March 22, with a requiem mass at the same church at 10:00 AM.  

Senator Musa Adede, on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude to well-wishers for their support and prayers.
