The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced scheduled maintenance on the Delta-Oghara 132kV transmission line, set to occur on Saturday, November 2, 2024, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.

According to TCN’s statement, the maintenance aims to allow the company’s System line engineers to carry out expansion clearing along the transmission line. This preventive measure is expected to ensure a safer and more reliable power supply to the affected areas in the long term.

During maintenance, electricity distribution will be temporarily disrupted, affecting customers serviced by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (Benin DisCo) on the Industrial, Adeje, Woodland, Mosogar, Sapele, and Abraka 33kV feeders. These feeders rely on the 132kV Benin-Amupke transmission line, which will be taken offline to create a safe working environment for the maintenance team.

Ndidi Mbah, General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN, assured that bulk power supply would be restored immediately upon the completion of maintenance. The company urged the public to remain patient and assured that this temporary outage is necessary to ensure the long-term stability and safety of the power supply.
