Police Declare Elderly Woman Missing In Cross River State

The police urge the public to stay vigilant and help in any way possible to bring Mrs Archifene back safely.

The Cross River State Police Command has declared 67-year-old Mrs Sylvia Archifene missing. According to a statement released by SP Irene Ugbo, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Cross River Command, Mrs Archifene was last seen in September 2024 and has not returned home since.

Mrs Archifene, who resides with her son, Mr Akorokpo Richard Ofumgbe, at No. 4 TTC Road, Ikot Ansa, Calabar Municipality, left home without informing anyone of her whereabouts. She is described as being dark in complexion, 5.3 feet tall, and fluent in Ejagham, Efik, and English. The missing woman is reportedly a patient undergoing medical treatment at a clinic located at Army Camp, opposite the Catholic Church in Akamkpa Town.

The police statement revealed that all efforts to locate Mrs Archifene since her disappearance have been unsuccessful. The authorities are now appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with useful information is urged to report to the nearest police station or contact the command on the provided numbers: 08032693272, 08032693272, or 08068559326.
