A video has surfaced on social media where a lecturer at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) was seen flogging students with his belt.
According to Ogar Emmanuel, the incident happened on Saturday in the Biology department.
The name of the lecturer is yet to be identified by The Investigator.
Ogar said in his Facebook post “Yesterday in the department of Biology, students turned up for a scheduled practical, disorderliness ensued, the lecturer became unruly, unfastened his belt, and used it on the students.
Describing the conduct of the lecturer as unprofessional, he called on the school authority to “fish out this lecturer and discipline him for his motor-park character in a learning environment”.
Moments later, normalcy was restored.
