A student of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has raised concerns over what he described as the repeated premature termination of scheduled examinations, alleging that students were denied the full duration allotted for their papers.

In a social media post shared on Tuesday, the student, identified as Tete Nsefik, stated that a two-hour, thirty-minute examination ended after only one hour and twenty-eight minutes. According to him, the exam, which began at 11:45 a.m., was stopped at about 1:13 p.m., preventing him from completing his work.

“Today, they did it again. Our 2hrs 30min examination was terminated within 1hr 28min… They stopped me from finishing the exam,” he wrote, questioning what he termed the “incessant nuisance” by lecturers.

The post has since generated reactions from other social media users, some of whom advised the student to document the timing of examinations and formally report the matter to school authorities. One commenter encouraged affected students to collectively take note of the official start time of exams and involve others as witnesses, while another described the situation as unacceptable.

At the time of filing this report, the university’s management has not issued an official statement regarding the allegation.
