The Cross River State House of Assembly on Monday screened and confirmed Mr Dodeye Ikpi Arikpo as a Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.
The confirmation followed a formal request transmitted to the House by Governor Senator Bassey Edet Otu. The exercise took place during plenary, where lawmakers subjected the nominee to an assessment of his educational qualifications, professional experience, administrative competence, and readiness to contribute to the state’s development.
Members of the Assembly praised Arikpo for his credentials and clear responses during the screening. They expressed confidence in his ability to discharge the duties of the office with integrity, professionalism, and commitment to public service.
At the end of the session, the House unanimously approved the nomination by voice vote, clearing the way for Arikpo to join the State Executive Council.
