Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has approved the appointment of new members to the State Senior Secondary School Education Board as part of his administration’s effort to strengthen the education sector.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Linus Obogo, the new appointees are Dr Tony Ngban as Chairman, Mr Patrick Uguge, Mrs Agube Ekwelle Ignatius, and Miss Asari Eso Archibong as members. At the same time, Mr Lawrence Oku will serve as Secretary.
“The appointments, which take immediate effect, underscore the Governor’s commitment to repositioning the education sector in line with his People First agenda,” the statement said.
Governor Otu, through his media aide, charged the new board members to bring their “wealth of experience, integrity, and passion for excellence to bear in advancing the standards and outcomes of senior secondary education across the state.”
