Prince Offiong Offiong Ekeng-Ita Appointed Youth Leader In Calabar South

In recognition of leadership and community service, Prince Offiong Offiong Ekeng-Ita has been officially appointed as the Youth Leader of the Ewa Ekeng/Effiom Ewa Nsa Clan in Calabar South.  

The appointment was affirmed by His Royal Majesty Etubom Nyong Effiom Okon Etim Ewa 1, the Paramount Ruler of Calabar South and President of the Calabar South Traditional Rulers Council. The certificate of recognition was presented at the palace of the Paramount Ruler on January 31, 2025, in the presence of distinguished traditional leaders and members of the clan.  

Prince Offiong Offiong Ekeng-Ita’s appointment is expected to enhance youth engagement, promote cultural heritage, and foster development within the Ewa Ekeng/Effiom Ewa Nsa Clan.  

His Royal Majesty Etubom Nyong Effiom Okon Etim Ewa 1, while conferring the honour, emphasized the importance of youth leadership in preserving traditions and ensuring the progress of the community.

He was charged with effectively representing the youths by leading an exemplary lifestyle.

The newly conferred Youth Leader of the Ewa Ekeng/Effiom Ewa Nsa Clan in Calabar South, Prince Offiong Offiong Ekeng-Ita, thanked his clan and the Calabar South Traditional Rulers Council for finding him worthy to serve.

Fielding questions from journalists after the event, he thanked “God for making this day in my life become reality.” 

Furthermore, he stated “This recognition is a track record, my forefathers had held the same position and served the people. I’m the grandson of Ekpenyong Ekeng, a pharmacist and the founder of God The Host Prayer Temple. I’m happy and I’ll do my best to serve my community in the entire Calabar South.”
