The leadership and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Olulumo Ward, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State, have unanimously passed a “Vote of Confidence” on Hon Amina Darasimi Bryhm, the party’s National Woman Leader.

In a statement issued by the ward executives after a joint emergency meeting on Saturday, February 8, 2025, party leaders commended Hon Amina for her unwavering support and commitment to the party’s growth, while condemning alleged political ‘mercenaries’ who they claim are working to divide the ward.

The statement, signed by the Ward Chairman, Mr Innocent Ijoma Ejukwa, and the Ward Secretary, Mr Okey Irom, described Hon Amina as a pillar of the PDP in Olulumo Ward, Ikom LGA, and beyond. They urged party members to rally behind her to transform the ward and the local government.

According to the ward executives, any attempt to undermine or suspend Hon. Amina is baseless and driven by personal interests. “We at the ward where she comes from will never have any reason to join the sinister plot to suspend her for personal interests. Rather, we owe her a debt of gratitude and confidence for her courage in the battle to rescue PDP,” the statement read.

Reaffirming their support, the ward leadership warned the public against believing fake news regarding any suspension or disciplinary action against Hon Amina.

The communique has been forwarded to key party structures, including the South-South Governors, PDP’s Board of Trustees (BOT), the National Working Committee, the Cross River State Working Committee, and other relevant party organs.
