Governor Bassey Edet Otu Cross River has given assent to the State’s 2025 budget of N538 billion. The budget, themed “Sustainable Growth,” underscores the administration’s commitment to infrastructural development.
Governor Otu’s Special Adviser on Budget, Mr Otu Ita, disclosed that 38% (N205 billion) of the budget is allocated to recurrent expenditures, covering salaries, pensions, and overhead costs, while a significant 62% (N333 billion) is earmarked for capital expenditures. This distribution highlights the government’s priority on infrastructure development, job creation, and investments in critical sectors like education, healthcare, and agriculture.
