The Queen of Humanity Naija pageantry 2024 has been unveiled. It is a pet project of Her Excellency, Mrs Eyoawan Otu, the wife of the state governor. The unveiling was held on Friday at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Cross River State Council.

Speaking during the unveiling, Mrs Otu maintained that the pet project was born out of the need to improve the well-being of the girl child.

The state governor’s wife was represented by her Senior Special Assistant Administration, Dr Comfort Oko.

Unveiling the second edition, the State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Archibong Bassey Eso said she’s happy to be part of the pageantry and pledged the commitment of her members.

The first female NUJ Chairman in the state called on the organisers to ensure a high moral standard is maintained during and after the event.

Earlier, the executive producer of the Queen of Humanity Naija pageantry 2024, Mr Michael Moses acknowledged that many things went wrong during the first edition which led to the complete overhaul of the team.

He revealed that the project being a pet project of the governor’s wife has a sustainability plan. And that the price of the form has been subsidized to N10,000 only.

Furthermore, Moses disclosed that the Queen will have an office within the governor’s wife’s office and will tour the 18 local government areas of the state to meet and greet council chairmen.

The pageantry will commence from November 1st – December 27th 2024 at CCIC. Forms can be purchased at www.qohnaija.org and the eligible age of the contestant is 18 – 30 years.
