The family of Elder Onen Emmanuel Ofem, fondly known as “Marshall” or “World Rocket Arm,” announces with deep regret the passing of their beloved patriarch. A retired Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Elder Ofem was a respected figure in both his professional and personal life. He was born on December 25, 1957, and passed away on June 9, 2024, at the age of 67.
A man known for his dedication, strength, and love for his family, especially his female children, Elder Ofem was a father, grandfather, brother, in-law, uncle, and friend. His passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral Arrangements
Monday, September 30, 2024: The opening of the mourning house will take place at 10:00 AM at his residence, 45 Obimabang Street, Emenko, Biko-Biko in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Cross River State.
Thursday, October 3, 2024: A service of songs will be held at 7:00 PM at the same residence.
Friday, October 4, 2024: The funeral service will commence at 10:00 AM at his residence, followed by interment at 2:00 PM at Ediba Road, Ugep, Yakurr LGA.
Sunday, October 6, 2024: The thanksgiving service will be held at 9:00 AM at the Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ibenda District, Njelekoko Area.
Elder Onen David Ofem, Chief Mourner, on behalf of the family, invites all friends, relatives, and colleagues to join in honouring the life and legacy of Elder Onen Emmanuel Ofem.
“His contributions to his community and his steadfast service as a law enforcement officer will be remembered fondly by all. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.” Chief Mourner said in his statement.
