JUST IN: Akwa Ibom First Lady, Mrs Patience Umo Eno, Passes Away

Governor Eno expressed appreciation for his family’s support and assured citizens that despite this personal tragedy, his commitment to serving the state remains firm.

The Government of Akwa Ibom State has announced with deep sadness the passing of the First Lady, Mrs Patience Umo Eno, wife of the Executive Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno. According to a press release issued on September 26, 2024, Mrs Eno passed away peacefully at a hospital, following an illness. Her family surrounded her at the time of her death.

The official statement, signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, expressed the grief of the state and the Governor’s family. The family, submitting to the will of God, requested prayers and support from the public while seeking privacy during this difficult period.

Governor Eno expressed appreciation for his family’s support and assured citizens that despite this personal tragedy, his commitment to serving the state remains firm.

The family will provide further details regarding her funeral arrangements in due course.
