The Cross River State Police Command has issued a public appeal for assistance in locating Mr Ewelu Ibe Owai, a 76-year-old man who has been reported missing. Mr Owai, who resides in the Murtala Mohammed Highway area of Calabar, was last seen on the evening of 16th July 2024.

According to a press release issued by the Police Public Relations Department, Mr Owai left his home at approximately 6:10 PM on that day and has not returned. His whereabouts remain unknown despite exhaustive efforts by the authorities to trace him.

At the time of his disappearance, Mr Owai was wearing a wrapper around his waist, a light blue short-sleeve shirt, and blue palm slippers. He also carried a torchlight.

Mr Owai is described as being about 6.2 feet tall, light in complexion, and has gray hair. He is fluent in both Ekoi (Adim dialect) and English. Originally from Adim Community in Biase Local Government Area, Cross River State, Mr Owai has no known medical conditions that might have contributed to his disappearance.
