The Cross River State Police Command in Nigeria is investigating allegations of misconduct against SP Eremi, Commander of Operation Akpakwu. The allegations, which were made by SaharaReporters, include pocketing allowances and other infractions.
The Cross River State Police Command has called the report “damaging and misleading” and says it is a “calculated attempt to tarnish the image of the Nigeria Police Force.”
The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Gyogon Augustine Grimah, has inaugurated an investigation panel to look into the allegations. The panel will be headed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Intelligence, ACP Eugene Ubine.

The press release by SP Irene Ugbo, PPRO also states that all allowances due personnel attached to Operation Akpakwu paid by the State Government are disbursed timely and promptly. There are no outstanding till date.
