Mr. Umo Isua-Ikoh, Coordinator of Peace Point Development Foundation has been recognized for his outstanding work as a field monitor reporter. Isua-Ikoh was presented with a brand new HP Laptop by the West Africa Network for Peace Building (WANEP) in Lagos on Thursday.
The Executive Director of WANEP, Dr. Chukwuemaka Eze, presented the award to Isua-Ikoh, noting that his selection was based on his record obtained from WANEP’s weekly incident report database. Isua-Ikoh is one of 36 WANEP field monitors across the country.
Isua-Ikoh’s engagement with WANEP began five years ago, and the work was purely voluntary with no financial entitlement. However, his passion for peace-building and conflict resolution has motivated him to continue his work with the organization.
WANEP is a non-governmental organization that aims to prevent and resolve violent conflicts in West Africa.
