Indigent students of Cross River Central Senatorial District at the Nigeria Law Schools, have received a scholarship grant from the Senator representing the Central Senatorial District of the State, Distinguished Senator Eteng Jonah Williams.
The students, in an appreciation statement signed by the President, Geda Asikong, and Secretary Obasesam Itam, said that the payment of N200,000 each to 21 law school students from the senatorial district for the current academic session was an example of a display of kindness and support.
The students said: “Your significant contribution will lighten the financial burden being faced by our parents and us as students and pave the way for us to focus more on our educational pursuits to achieve our goals at the Nigerian Law School seamlessly.”
The beneficiaries drawn from different Law Schools across the country thanked the Senator for coming to their aid. They assured him that they would make the utmost use of the scholarship and strive towards academic excellence at the Nigerian Law School.
Senator Eteng Williams charged the students to remain focused, dedicated, and hard-working and make the Central Senatorial District proud by coming out with excellent results.
