Cross River Ex-Security Chief, “Defence” Odu, In N35 Million Fraud Scandal

Mr. Odu AKA ‘Defence’ who is cooling off in police custody at Zone 6 Calabar is accused of defrauding Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM) of N35 million.

The former Director of Cross River Homeland Security, Mr. Raphael Odu, has been arrested on an allegation of fraud. 

Mr. Odu AKA ‘Defence’ who is cooling off in police custody at Zone 6 Calabar is accused of defrauding Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM) of N35 million.

The details of his arrest and detention were shared by Citizen Agba Jalingo, publisher of CrossRiverWatch on social media.

According to him, the CEO of IVM, Chief Chukwuma Innocent vowed to get his money.

Adding that, he “collected N35 million from Innoson since 2022, to supply condemned steel scrap from Cross River State Government to the company and eloped since then”.
