In a move aimed at enhancing the operations of the Press Unit at Government House, the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Bassey Otu, on Friday presented a brand new 18-seater bus to the unit.

This gesture, lauded as a significant boost to press coverage and government transparency, aligns with the Governor’s commitment to effective communication and information dissemination.

The presentation ceremony, held at Government House in Calabar, saw the Chief of Staff, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, officially hand over the keys to the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche.

With this new vehicle, the Press Unit gains improved mobility and logistical support.

It will enable them to efficiently cover events, conduct interviews, and travel for assignments across the state.
