Prince Joseph Mark Bags Three-Year Jail Time For Sexually Exploiting Minors

The conviction follows a trial where the accused faced four charges, two of which he was found guilty of.

Prince Joseph Mark has been found guilty of sexually exploiting a six-year-old and an eleven-year-old, leading to a three-year prison sentence and a Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) fine as restitution to the survivors. 

This verdict was reached on May 23rd, 2024, at the Federal High Court of Cross River State. The conviction follows a trial where the accused faced four charges, two of which he was found guilty of.

The successful prosecution was made possible by the concerted efforts of various individuals and organizations, including the Commissioner of Police, the State Attorney General, Basic Rights Counsel Initiative.

Barrister Patience Emmanuel Akpama was the Prosecutor.
