President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of the Federal University of Environmental Technology, Ogoni, Rivers State.

Tinubu signed the bill into law on Monday at the State House, Abuja.

The newly established institution is expected to focus on environmental research and technology.

Tinubu’s approval marks a significant step towards expanding higher education opportunities in Nigeria.

The Federal University of Environmental Technology, Ogoni, joins other specialised universities across the country.

Details on the university’s structure, administration, and academic focus will be provided in due course.

The President’s decision aligns with his administration’s commitment to advancing education and technology.
