The Special Adviser to the Cross River State Governor on Youth Mobilization, Comrade Daniel Obo (Jnr) has commended the effort of the Senator Representing Cross River Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Eteng Williams.
Obo made the commendation while recently addressing press men in Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State.
He said, “Senator Eteng Williams is our philanthropist and leader because of his tremendous contributions to the youths of Cross River Central. He has rendered assistance on many occasions to the youths and has provided us with mentorship.
“He is one politician that accords everyone a sense of belonging, devoid of any class or preferential considerations. He sees everyone as his own.”
Buttressing his point, the immediate past chapter chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) maintained “Senator Eteng Williams has been a man of his words right from his days as Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly. A sincere and focused leader with a heart of gold. Both the young and old ones are proud of him because of his kind gesture. We are praying to have leaders like him across the state.
“It is unfortunate that most times leaders who are doing well are not appreciated. we will not be part of those people who failed to see the good in their leaders. We belong to the generation that believes in appreciating good things. Appreciating leaders will encourage them to do more and encourage the younger generation to put in their best when given the opportunity to lead.”
Throwing his weight behind Eteng, Obo added “I strongly believe that he who agrees to serve is the one who accepts to take the blame. We commend him for accepting to step forward and accepting the blame. As a youth leader of Central and the state, I laud his continuous efforts to bring development and empowerment to our people.”
