The Cross River State Ministry of Education has officially endorsed an upcoming series of Educational Orientation Summits aimed at secondary schools and tertiary institutions across the three Senatorial Districts. This initiative, spearheaded by the office of Special Assistant on Students’ Orientation to governor Bassey Otu, is designed to address the rising issues of social vices, and other immoral activities in schools.

Speaking about the programme, Afufu Anthony, Otu’s Students’ Orientation emphasized the urgent need for orientation programs in secondary schools due to the increasing prevalence of negative behaviors among students.

The summits will extend to various institutions, including the College of Nursing at UCTH, Moore Road in Calabar, and the College of Nursing Science in the central and northern districts.

The Commissioner of Education, Senator Stephen Odey pledged full support for these initiatives, aligning them with the Governor’s agenda.

He encouraged young people involved in these programs to remain focused and committed to delivering quality services to the community.
