Rivers State Governor Swear-In Local Government Caretaker Chairmen

The newly sworn-in chairmen for the 23 Local Government Areas in Rivers State are as follows:

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, conducted the official swearing-in ceremony for the Caretaker Committee Chairmen of all 23 Local Government Councils in the state on Wednesday. The event took place at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House in Port Harcourt.

The newly sworn-in chairmen for the 23 Local Government Areas in Rivers State are as follows:

  1. Hon Madigai Dickson – Abua/Odual LGA
  2. Hon Happy Benneth- Ahoada-East
  3. Hon Daddy John Green – Ahoada-West
  4. Barr Otonye Briggs – Akuku Toru LGA
  5. Barr Reginald Ekaan – Andoni LGA
  6. Hon Orolosama Peter Amachree – Asari-Toru LGA
  7. Alabota Anengi Barasua – Bonny LGA
  8. Anthony Soberekon – Degema LGA
  9. Brain Gokpa – Eleme LGA
  10. David Omereji – Emohua LGA
  11. John Otamiri Nkugbo – Etche LGA
  12. Kenneth Kpeden – Gokana LGA
  13. Dr Darlington Orji – Ikwerre LGA
  14. Amb Marvin Yobana – Khana LGA
  15. Amb Ihunwo Chijioke – Obio/Akpor
  16. Hon Princewill Ejekwe – ONELGA
  17. Hon Evans Bipi – Ogu-Bolo LGA
  18. Princess IB Ogan – Okrika LGA
  19. Hon Promise Reginald – Omuma LGA
  20. Hon Enyiada Cookey-Gam – Opobo/Nkoro LGA
  21. Hon Gogo Philip – OYIGBO LGA
  22. Hon Ezebunwo Ichemati – PHALGA
  23. Hon Matthew Dike – Tai LGA

The swearing-in of the committee chairmen marks an important step in the governance of the state, as they are tasked with overseeing the affairs and development of their respective local government areas.

The new chairmen are expected to work diligently and in collaboration with the state government to implement policies and programs that will benefit the residents of the various local government areas in Rivers State.
