The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has appointed His Royal Majesty Ovai Solomon Osim Edward JP, Paramount Ruler of Abi Local Government Area, as Chairman, State Council of Chiefs.
The appointment is effective from 21st June 2024 and will be for a term of two years.
The Cross River State Council of Chiefs is a body of traditional rulers in the state. The chairman of the council is responsible for presiding over meetings of the council and representing the council to the government.
