Cross River Police Commissioner Urges Business Operators To Prioritize Security

The collaboration between private business operators, hoteliers, and the Cross River State Police Command is expected to enhance security and reduce crime rates across the state.

Private business operators and hoteliers in Cross River State have been urged to prioritize security within their establishments. The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP G. A. Grimah, stressed the importance of security consciousness and collaboration with the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the locality to ensure the safety and security of communities.

In a press release issued on May 10th, 2024, signed by SP Irene Ugbo, Police Public Relations Officer, the Commissioner emphasized the need for proactive security measures which include the installation of surveillance systems, adherence to safety protocols, adequate profiling of employees and guests, prompt reporting of suspicious persons or activities to the authorities, and proper documentation of valid identification cards.

The Cross River State Police Command reassured the public of its commitment to providing adequate security across the state and solicited the cooperation of all stakeholders in achieving this goal. The Commissioner urged private business operators and hoteliers to remain vigilant and be conversant with their surroundings, and to promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the appropriate authorities via the command’s Control room numbers for swift response and effective service delivery.

The collaboration between private business operators, hoteliers, and the Cross River State Police Command is expected to enhance security and reduce crime rates across the state.
